Terms of Service.
Last updated on 8th of October, 2026
The short version. Competitor Intelligence costs CAD 99.99 a month for one login or CAD 149.99 a month for up to five, plus tax, or CAD 999.99 and CAD 1,499.99 a year with yearly billing. New accounts start with a 14-day free trial. Cancel any time and your plan stops at the end of the month or year you have paid for. We refund your first payment if you ask within 24 hours; after that, payments are not refunded. We never sell, license, give or report your pricing data to your manufacturer, your lender or your regulator. Everything below is the detail.
1. Who we are and what this covers
We are ADDEDHOURS LTD., an Alberta corporation doing business as Added Hours (“we”, “us”). Competitor Intelligence is our tool that reads public dealership websites and shows your dealership how its inventory and pricing compare with nearby dealerships.
These terms are the contract between us and your dealership for Competitor Intelligence. They also cover your use of our website, addedhours.ai. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information, and our Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy explain refunds and cancelling. All three are part of these terms.
When you create an account or start a subscription, you accept these terms on behalf of your dealership. If you do not agree, do not sign up.
2. Who can use Competitor Intelligence
Competitor Intelligence is for businesses: licensed vehicle dealerships in Canada and their staff. These are business terms for dealerships. We do not offer consumer accounts.
The person who signs up confirms that they have authority to bind the dealership and, if we ask, gives us the dealership’s provincial dealer licence number so we can confirm it is a licensed dealer.
Coverage, meaning the rival dealerships we read, starts in Alberta and Western Canada. We do not promise coverage anywhere else.
3. Accounts and users
- The Individual plan has one login. The Business plan includes five logins, and you can add more for CAD 24.99 a month each (CAD 249.99 a year on yearly billing). Each person uses their own login.
- No sharing a login and no reselling access. We may suspend a login we reasonably believe is shared, and we tell you when we do.
- Your dealership is responsible for what its users do in Competitor Intelligence, and for removing users who leave.
- Keep your password private. Tell us at once if you think an account has been compromised.
4. Price, trial and billing
Price. CAD 99.99 a month for the Individual plan and CAD 149.99 a month for the Business plan, or CAD 999.99 and CAD 1,499.99 a year with yearly billing, plus GST and any provincial sales tax that applies where your dealership is. Our GST/HST number is 758859979 RT0001 and it appears on every invoice.
Trial. New accounts start with a 14-day free trial. You give us a card to start, and we do not charge it until day 15. Cancel before then and you pay nothing. Either side can end a trial at any time. During the trial Competitor Intelligence is provided as is, and everything in these terms applies to trial use. We email you before the trial ends.
Billing. We bill monthly or yearly by card, on the same date each month or year, through Stripe. Stripe handles your card under its own terms; card numbers never reach us. Your price does not change without the notice described in section 6.
Failed payment. If a payment fails, we email you and the card is retried. Update your card and the plan carries on. If the payment still does not go through, your access stops until the open invoice is paid.
5. Cancelling, refunds and your data afterwards
Cancelling. You can cancel any time from your account page, or by emailing system@addedhours.ai. No phone call, no notice period, no fee. Your plan stops at the end of the month or year you have already paid for: you keep access until then and you are not charged again. The Cancellation Policy has the detail.
Refunds. If you ask within 24 hours of your first payment, we refund it in full. After that, payments are not refunded, including for part of a month or year. The Refund Policy has the detail.
Your data afterwards. After your plan ends, email us and within 30 days we send you an export of your saved competitor sets, settings and reports, or delete your dealership’s data, as you ask. We keep invoices and payment records for six years because tax law requires it; those records do not include your competitor sets or reports.
6. Changes to price, plans, features or these terms
We can change the price, the plans, the features, your access or these terms. A material change is one to price, plan limits, your access, the removal of a feature, our liability, how we use your data, acceptable use, or governing law. For a material change we email the account owner at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not like the change, cancel before it takes effect. If you keep using Competitor Intelligence after that date, you accept the change. Minor changes (wording, clarifications, new features that cost nothing) are posted on this page with a new date.
Every version of these terms carries a date, and we keep every previous version; ask us for any of them.
We do not offer exclusivity. We do not promise any dealership that its rivals will not be customers.
7. What Competitor Intelligence does, and what it does not do
Competitor Intelligence reads information that dealerships publish on their own public websites and shows you how your inventory and prices compare. It reads public pages only, using an identifying user agent. A dealership whose site blocks us is shown by name in your report as not covered, with the reason.
The information can be late, incomplete or wrong. A price is shown as the other dealership published it, with the time we read it. We do not check whether that price complies with all-in pricing rules or any other law, and Competitor Intelligence is not a compliance tool. We do not use Competitor Intelligence to report anyone.
Competitor Intelligence shows comparisons. It never recommends a price, and we will not tell you what to charge. Every price you set is your own independent decision. Competitor Intelligence is not legal, financial or pricing advice, and your dealership uses the reports at its own risk.
8. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Use Competitor Intelligence to reach, propose or signal any understanding with another dealership about prices, discounts, fees, financing terms or inventory.
- Upload, paste or send us any non-public information about another dealership’s pricing or plans. Competitor Intelligence reads public pages only; keep it that way.
- Share your Competitor Intelligence reports, screenshots or alerts with another dealership. They are for your own staff and your advisers.
- Use Competitor Intelligence as a channel to communicate with a competitor, or to monitor whether a competitor is following a manufacturer’s pricing policy.
- Copy, scrape, automate access to, or resell Competitor Intelligence or its reports and data.
- Use Competitor Intelligence or its output to build a competing product or to train a machine-learning model.
- Attack, overload, probe or reverse engineer the service. If you find a security problem, tell us at system@addedhours.ai instead of using it.
- Share a login or let anyone outside your dealership use your account.
If an account breaks these rules we may suspend it, and we tell you why. A serious breach ends the account under section 14.
9. Our promise about your data
This is the promise Competitor Intelligence is built on.
What we mean by your data. Your advertised prices, discounts, fees, incentives, inventory and days on lot, anything we work out from them that identifies your dealership, and how your dealership uses Competitor Intelligence.
The promise. We will not sell, license, give, report or otherwise provide your data to any vehicle manufacturer or distributor, any floor-plan or other lender, any regulator (including AMVIC and its counterparts in other provinces), any dealer association, any data broker, or anyone else in a way that identifies your dealership. The only parties who handle it are the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy, who process it for us under their own confidentiality terms and for no other purpose.
The one exception. We will disclose your data only if a court order, warrant, subpoena or a written demand from a body with legal authority to compel it requires us to. If that happens we tell you before we comply, unless the law forbids it; we give only what the order requires; and we may challenge it. We never volunteer your data to anyone.
Combined statistics. We may use anonymous, combined statistics, such as a market-wide average, only to run and improve Competitor Intelligence and to describe the market in general terms. A statistic is only ever built from at least five dealerships, so that no single dealership’s number can be worked back out, and no dealership is ever named in one.
If we are sold. If Added Hours or Competitor Intelligence is sold or transferred, this promise binds whoever takes over. If a buyer will not accept it, you may cancel and we delete your data.
After you leave. This promise survives cancellation for any of your data we still hold.
10. Who owns what
We own Competitor Intelligence: the software, the design of its reports, the analytics we derive and the Competitor Intelligence database as a whole. You get a right to use Competitor Intelligence and its reports for your dealership’s internal business while you are subscribed.
Your dealership owns what it puts in: your own lot data, your saved competitor sets and your settings. You give us a licence to use those inputs to run Competitor Intelligence for you and to build the combined statistics allowed by section 9, and for nothing else.
Nobody owns another dealership’s public price. We claim no ownership of the facts Competitor Intelligence reads from public websites.
If you give us feedback or suggestions, you give us the right to use them to improve Competitor Intelligence, forever, without paying you for them. You never have to give feedback.
11. Product usage data
We record how Competitor Intelligence is used (which pages, which reports, how often) to fix and improve it. Usage data is tied to your dealership’s account, is covered by the promise in section 9 and by our Privacy Policy, and is never sold.
12. Service level
We work to keep Competitor Intelligence running, but we do not guarantee uptime. Scans can fail or run late, and planned and unplanned outages happen. Where we can, we give notice of planned maintenance. Your right to an export of your data under section 5 does not depend on the service being up.
13. Limits on our liability
Competitor Intelligence is provided as is. We do not promise that it suits a particular purpose or that the information in it is complete, current or correct.
Neither of us is liable to the other for lost profit, lost sales, lost data, the cost of a substitute service, or any pricing decision your dealership makes. This exclusion does not apply to your obligation to pay us or to your breach of section 8.
Our total liability to you for everything arising out of these terms, however it arises, is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and CAD 500. Your total liability to us is limited the same way, except for your obligation to pay us and your breach of section 8.
This cap does not limit our liability for a breach of section 9 that we commit on purpose. We never cap what we did deliberately.
If someone outside your dealership makes a claim against us because your dealership broke section 8, your dealership covers our reasonable costs of that claim.
14. General
Ending the account. Either side can end this contract by cancelling under section 5. We can end an account for a serious breach of these terms, with notice where that is reasonable. If we close your account for any other reason, or shut Competitor Intelligence down, we refund the unused part of the period you have paid for.
Talk to us first. If there is a problem, email us before anything else. We do the same.
Law and courts. Alberta law governs these terms, and disputes go to the courts of Alberta.
Notices. We send notices by email to the account owner’s address on file. You send notices to us at system@addedhours.ai.
If we are sold. We may transfer this contract to a buyer of our business. The promise in section 9 travels with it, as that section says.
The whole agreement. These terms, our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy, and the plan and price shown at sign-up are the whole agreement between us for Competitor Intelligence. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. Sections 9, 10 and 13 survive the end of this contract.
