AI Philosophy.

Last updated on 28th of October, 2026

The short version. AI should give you time back, not take more of it. Everything we make starts with a task that eats someone’s hours, and it is not finished until those hours are back in their day.

Time is the measure

We judge our work by one number: the hours it gives back. Competitor Intelligence exists because checking rival dealerships’ prices by hand, one website at a time, costs hours every week. Every feature is judged by whether it takes that work off your desk.

A tool, not a replacement

AI is good at the repetitive parts of work: reading, sorting, drafting, checking. People are good at judgment. We build software that takes the first so you have more time for the second. The decisions about your business stay with you.

Verified, never guessed

An answer you cannot trust costs more time than it saves. Our systems show where an answer came from, and when something cannot be verified, they say so instead of filling the gap. In Competitor Intelligence, a price that cannot be verified is not shown.

Honest by design

AI should play fair with everyone it touches, not only our customers. Competitor Intelligence reads public dealership web pages only. It identifies itself honestly, follows each site’s robots.txt, and never pretends to be a person or works around a site’s defences. Read how our crawler works.

Where it uses an AI model, it is to read public listing text when our own parser cannot. Nothing else goes to the model.

Your data, your business

We use your data to run Competitor Intelligence for you. We never sell personal information, and we never sell or report your pricing data to your manufacturer, your lender or your regulator. Our privacy policy sets out exactly what we collect and who helps us run it.

Changes

AI moves quickly, and our practice will move with it. We will update this page when the way we work changes. Questions are welcome at system@addedhours.ai.
